What to Expect

Naples is a mixture of colors and perfumes, be enchanted by the warmth of its people and the sounds of daily life. Begin at Piazza Bellini where you can see the ancient greek walls dated to VI century BC. Proceed to Piazza del Gesù, one of the most famous squares of the city a few steps away from the historical center. Visit Spaccanapoli, a long and narrow street that divides the old Naples in two perfect halves with shops, restaurants and alleys.

Be amazed by the San Domenico Maggiore square with a perfect overlapping of different architectural styles and the pearl of Naples, the Chapel San Severo featuring the statue Cristo Velato by Giuseppe Sanmartino. See the famous statue of the God of Nile river and have a break enjoying a typical neapolitan coffee in one of the most famous bar of the city centre.

Have a look at Piazza St. Gaetano the oldest square of the city. “Agorà” was situated here in Greek times. In Roman times this place was taken by a forum. See the churches of San Lorenzo and San Paolo Maggiore.

The baroque cathedral of Saint Gennaro dates back to the 13th century and is at the heart of the Neapolitan faith. Here the blood of the saint patron St. Gennaro is preserved. It becomes liquid during the so-called Miracle of St. Gennaro.
